USSA Elects Eric Badofsky to its Board of Directors
February 2, 2005 -- The United Special Sportsmen Alliance (USSA), a grassroots charity organization dedicated to helping seriously ill and
disabled children fulfill their outdoor dream wishes, is proud to announce the election of Eric Badofsky to its Board of Directors.
Badofsky, a longtime advertising professional and resident of Skokie, Illinois, was elected to the Board by a unanimous vote. Since joining the organization as an Associate Board member in 2004, he has been instrumental in creating advertising, public relations and fundraising materials for USSA, including brochures, radio commercials, speeches, direct mail campaigns and press release campaigns.
"We're very proud to have Eric as a part of our volunteer team," said USSA founder and president Brigid O'Donoghue. "He brings a tremendous amount of creativity and fresh thinking to the organization, and his dedication to helping our children is tireless. Eric's been a real driving force in helping us grow over the past twelve months, and we're looking forward to giving him an even bigger role as we grow in 2005 and beyond."
"It's an honor to serve the USSA," says Badofsky, because the results are so rewarding. I've been blessed with two happy, healthy children - both of whom enjoy hunting, angling and the outdoors immensely. Unfortunately, there are thousands of youngsters, who, unlike my own, are stricken with disabilities and diseases that don't allow them to get outside to enjoy everything the great outdoors has to offer. These kids dream about going on hunting, fishing and outdoor adventures, and that's what USSA is all about - taking them away from the hospitals, the operating rooms and the therapy - if even for a few days - on the dream trips of a lifetime.
Badofsky will continue his advertising, marketing and fundraising role within USSA, as well as taking on additional duties such as event coordination for ill and
disabled children in Illinois. He can be contacted directly at (847) 676-8424, or via e-mail at e-mail protected from spam bots.
