As daunting as it can be, who wouldn't appreciate having fun and supportive friends close by to help Maybe as close as...your pocket!

Meet Gordon, Dale and Buttons, a.k.a. the Pocket Snails, a trio of playful characters featured in the Pocket Snails Letter Adventure, a delightful VHS program that is one of the most honored children's videos of 2004, created by Soaring Star Productions LLC of Sunrise.

Produced by Kate Beale who lives in Surprise with her husband and their four-year-old and six-year-old, Pocket Snails Letter Adventure was originally released on VHS and now is available on DVD along with a musical CD of all the originals songs from the video program, plus bonus songs not found on the DVD/VHS. Extras on the DVD include interactive activities like letter games, a music player featuring the Pocket Snails theme song and other fun songs from the program, and "Meet the Snails." Future titles in the Pocket Snails series will be released later in the year and include Phonics, Shapes & Colors and Numbers.

The pocket in the series belongs to young Jake, a boy learning about the world around him with the help of the snails that lives in...that's right...his pocket! Together, they embark on magical adventures in learning, engaging young viewers with humorous storylines; toe-tapping music and sing-along songs; and colorful visuals--creating "a soaring start for little minds."

In Pocket Snails Letter Adventure, the Pocket Snails make their way through Letter Land with camera in hand photographing each letter to take back to Jake so that he may learn the letters himself. Each letter is introduced in an enchanting fashion through colorful animation and a fun storyline, making valuable use of repetition so no child is left behind in learning his/her ABCs. A toe-tapping, upbeat version of the Alphabet Song also provides reinforcement in an easy-to-learn fun segment.

Pocket Snails Letter Adventure and other Snaily Songs CD features eleven peppy, original songs as well as a lyric book so young listeners may sing along with their tiny new friends again and again. Among the tracks are those included on the DVD and some extra tunes--"We Love the Vowels," "Upper Case, Lower Case," and "I Love the Pocket Snails." Audio bloopers make for a laugh-out-loud ending to a delightful CD.
