New DVD Series Teaches Preschoolers Mandarin Chinese

A new DVD series introduces simple words, phrases and the tonal sounds of Mandarin Chinese to preschool age children. Bao Bei, the lovable panda puppet and Chu Chu the cricket teach Mandarin Chinese in a fun and entertaining manner that encourages learning. The DVDs are designed around colorful and familiar toys that children enjoy.

Newsweek magazine recently described this era as China'ss Century. China has an enormous influence in today'ss economics, politics and science. Besides being the planet'ss most widely-spoken language, Mandarin Chinese is the second-most common language on the internet. The World Intellectual Property Organization predicts that by 2007 Mandarin Chinese will top English on the internet.

Learning Mandarin Chinese has gained popularity in recent years. Numerous public school systems across the country have established Mandarin Chinese language immersion programs. In 2006, an advanced placement test in Chinese will be administered for the first time in U.S. high schools.

Volume one of the set teaches preschoolers colors and animals. The second DVD teaches numbers and fruits. Each DVD is approximately 30 minutes long. The DVDs cost $19.95 each or $32.95 for both. They are available online at: www.EarlyStartMandarin.com.

About Ni Hao Productions LLC:

Ni Hao Productions LLC was founded in 2005 by Kelly Yudin and Teresa Hei, two busy moms with four kids between them. They perceived a void in quality, Mandarin Chinese educational language DVDs for preschoolers. Both Teresa and Kelly believe in the importance of preparing children for an increasingly global world. They recognize the advantages of teaching children Mandarin Chinese from a young age when they are most receptive to learning foreign languages.

Teresa was born in Taipei, Taiwan and immigrated with her family to California when she was ten years old. She maintains fluency in spoken Mandarin. Preserving a Mandarin-speaking household has been a priority to Teresa, whose children will be increasingly in a position to capitalize on their bilingual capabilities as they grow up.

Kelly'ss world traveling experience has allowed her to become fluent in Russian, French and Italian. Kelly'ss two children are fluent in Mandarin, and she believes that this foundation gives her children an expanded world view and a competitive edge in the global market place.
