Body Well, a provider of in home mobile massage therapy services in South Florida, announced today a strategic partnership with Ethical Massage of Pompano. The partnership leverages Body Well's extensive roster of highly qualified licensed massage therapists capable of performing in home massage therapy (http://www.bodywelltherapy.com/massage/homeofficehotel.php) services in Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, with Ethical Massage's long history of providing massage therapy benefits to patients covered by major medical health insurance, auto insurance and worker's compensation insurance.
The partnership will make it possible for Ethical Massage of Pompano, (http://www.ethicalmassage.com) a licensed Florida health clinic
registered as Pompano Beach Therapeutics and leading provider of therapeutic massage in Broward County for over 20 years, to provide needed health care to clients who are unable, either
due to disability or distance, to receive treatment at their Pompano Beach facility. Body Well's network of licensed massage therapists is able to provide in home massage service from
West Palm Beach to Miami Beach, thus vastly expanding the reach and capability of Ethical Massage to provide therapeutic massage services to South Florida residents.
"Strategically speaking this is a perfect fit for both Body Well and Ethical Massage, but more importantly this will make insurer-paid massage therapy benefits much more readily available
to those in need of this important health care service," said Dan Melmed, President of Body Well.
Frank Shulman, director of Ethical Massage of Pompano agreed, "We've been providing massage therapy paid through insurance for a long time, but until we discovered Body Well it had been
primarily limited to services offered at our facility." He continued, "In the past the difficulty of finding a reliable partner in the massage business capable of doing what Body Well now
does for us had limited our ability to expand into home-based massage therapy. The service they offer requires a very different set of operational capabilities than our own core
operation. This is a truly complementary relationship that allows us to leverage each other's strengths."
In order to be eligible for insurance massage benefits, individuals must first posses either major medical health insurance other than an HMO or Medicare, or have benefits through
automobile or worker's compensation insurance. Automobile accident victims in Florida are generally covered by "PIP" (Personal Injury Protection) which is mandated by Florida law and
provides a minimum of $10,000 in "no-fault" benefits for medical care related to treatment of injuries sustained in the accident no matter who was at fault. Massage therapy, when
prescribed by a physician, is usually a covered PIP benefit. Ethical Massage maintains physician Dr John R Blair on staff, who is capable of performing evaluations and issuing
prescriptions as deemed necessary.
