Oakbrook Terrace, IL October 17, 2006 -- Advanced Natural Health, a Creating Wellness Center and Three Treasures Healthcare Services, today announced a free seminar that will focus on preventing the cold and flu with Oriental Medicine. This seminar is in recognition and in support of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day. The seminar will take place on October 24, 2006 at Advanced Natural Health headquarters's8217; in Oakbrook Terrace.



The techniques that will be demonstrated will include acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, Qi Gong and breathing exercises. Specific topics to be discussed include acupuncture, tips on how to prevent cold and flu, and will be followed up with a questions and answers time.



According to a survey by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, a component of the National Institutes of Health, it is estimated that as many as 43 percent of Americans have used or are currently using some form of complementary or alternative therapy such as acupuncture or Oriental Medicine. These studies and others like them clearly demonstrate that complementary and alternative medicine therapies such as acupuncture and Oriental medicine are common practice in today'ss health care system.
