Author Urges Readers to Look Inward for Lifes Sweetness
Sweetness, kindness, and compassion are not soft ideas, concepts, or notions; they are enduring realities borne out by research, books of wisdom, and living life. According to Xulon author Tracey Collins, part of sweetness involves people increasingly acting on promptings to provide relief and recovery for others in need. Her book, Sweet Promptings: Showing Compassion for Others (paperback, 978-1-60477-683-6), will teach readers to nurture themselves and others at a deeper and more substantive level. As such, she has developed Sweet Promptings as part of "The Million Book Campaign of Inspiration"--whereby she envisions at least a million people reading her book and being inspired to cultivate sweetness, kindness, and compassion in themselves and others. This pay it forward approach, the author believes, will cultivate more harmony in the global community.
Says Collins, "Sweet Promptings is a movement and a book. That sounds different because it is. It's a call to action. In this time of both crisis and opportunity, we've got to cultivate sweetness, kindness, and compassion within ourselves because it appeals to the best of who we are, and we've got to invest in the wellbeing of others."
An educator and author whose life's work is supporting children and families across the globe, Collins believes that partnering with others will help generate change for the better. Armed with her own personal motto--"Together we can"--the author has found ways to cultivate purpose for herself and cascade out her life's work, such as in her not-for-profit organization, Fully Persuaded for Children and Families, Inc. This venture has become the "gift that keeps on giving" because she has been able to improve the quality of life for all involved.
Xulon Press (http://Xulonpress.com), a part of Salem Communications Corporation, is the world's largest Christian publisher, with more than 5,000 titles published to date. Retailers may order Sweet Promptings through Ingram Book Company and/or Spring Arbor Book Distributors.
