If Harold Frey, author of the newly released book Prisoners of the Paradigm: In Defense of Love (paperback), were to be described in one word, that word would be artist. So why does an artist write a theology of biblical paradigms that dares to challenge a reality that not only infests the Christian world, but secular institutions of all kinds Frey believes an artist is best equipped to discover the beauty in the Scriptures and see that our God has indeed presented us with an amazing panorama of love.
Says Frey, "(My book) is based on the paradigm principle, the phenomenon that all people hold a belief model of some kind, that no person's paradigm is perfect, but when challenged is
defended as though infallible. This book unfolds the beauty in discovering belief does not create truth; truth creates belief. Paradigm prisons are not the last word. As truth is given
its rightful place, the reader is invited to make paradigm adjustments in favor of truth."
Born a conservative Christian with a legal mindset, Frey experienced a personal deliverance from his beliefs that was empowered by the gospel. He discovered God's love as revealed in the
Bible and realized truth is not owned by an organization. Now, in Prisoners of the Paradigm, he continues his tenaciously honest quest to challenge others to experience the freedom truth
brings.
Harold Frey currently resides in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
