Author Issues Caveat to Foolhardy Civilizations in New Book



With the upcoming presidential election in November 2008, it is imperative that an early warning be sent out to as many people as possible before the election. That is why Christian self-publishing author Daniel J. Smerillo penned Samuel's Advice (paperback, 978-1-60647-326-9), a book that expresses concern about the interaction of Judeo-Christian beliefs and secular politics. The warning--directed at today's politicians and voters--is about the waning of Judeo-Christian ideals and the rise of secular humanism and moral relativism, which could lead to the potential for nuclear war between Islamic nations and Western nations. If we don't take heed, cautions Smerillo, we are facing the impending doom and destruction of the free market system in America, which will continue to be dominated by the liberal agenda.

Says Smerillo, "Every time a civilization becomes great, it eventually fails to follow the Word of God. The great American civilization is no different, but as always, those who are true believers in the Word of God are the ones who are saved again. If we work to turn the tide against the rise of secular humanism and moral relativism, we can save our great American society."

The Cincinnati-based author began penning advice to his step-grandson based on Christian ideals. He turned his writings into a book to help move other young people back toward the proper value system in order to keep the greatness of America moving forward. "The hope is that this book will be good advice if you are parent who is concerned about the correct advice to give your child regarding the influence of secular liberalism on Christian ideals," the author says. "This advice is for young adults who are looking for a proper foundation upon which to build all aspects of their personal, economic, social, and political endeavors."
