Author Debuts Story of Epic Struggle Between Good and Evil

Xulon Press author and businessman Rick Brown has debuted a new book chronicling the epic struggle between good and evil, The Journey (paperback, 978-1-60647-356-6). Following on the heels of Brown's first book, Out of the Forest: Re-Engaging in God's Call to Purpose, which takes an obscure biblical passage and expounds upon a similar message, The Journey targets an audience that the author says has become too complacent, too prone to sit on the sidelines of comfort rather than climb the dangerous but rewarding road of spiritual growth and discovery. The story begins when Sam, a 20-year-old, travels between two destinations where he confronts adventures, interesting characters, and the rich discoveries that await him in the steep land -- a place of both extreme difficulty and great reward.

Says Brown of his book, which has been described by one pastor as a modern-day Pilgrim's Progress, "Through this allegorical tale, readers will be inspired to reach higher and aspire to know and experience the abundance of life to which Christ calls us. Not only will it entertain, but it will also teach important truths about our spiritual journey in Christ."
