Talent Search in Binghamton Area May 13

May 11, 2005 -- The 2005 Kingdom Bound/Compassion International Talent Search will feature six singers and/or bands competing in a live concert event at 7pm on May 13 at New Life Ministries in Endicott, New York, just outside of Binghamton. The concert is free and open to the public.

Kingdom Bound is holding talent searches in ten American and Canadian cities. The winner of the Endicott competition, sponsored in part by the Family Life Network (FLN), will then compete against other American city winners at Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church in suburban Buffalo this June. The overall American winner of the Kingdom Bound/Compassion International Talent Search receives several prizes, in addition to the opportunity to perform live on the Houghton College Park Stage at this summer's Kingdom Bound Christian music festival.

The talent search is held in conjunction with the 19th annual Kingdom Bound Christian music festival at Six Flags Darien Lake amusement park and camping resort July 31 through August 3. Six Flags Darien Lake is located in Darien Center, New York, halfway between Buffalo and Rochester.

Kingdom Bound, one of North America's largest and longest-running festivals, features over 40 pop, rock and praise & worship artists, including headliners Newsboys, Michael W. Smith and MercyMe, as well as several speakers, including social commentator Lakita Garth, former mob man Michael Franzese, MTV's Chris Graebe, and movie actor Stephen Baldwin, among its packed line-up.

Kingdom Bound tickets are surprisingly affordable and include admission to amusement park rides, like the giant Ferris wheel and the Superman: Ride Of Steel coaster. Tickets can be charged by phone at 716-633-1117 or 1-800-461-4485, Monday through Friday 10-5pm EST. Visit www.kingdombound.org for more information.
