New Internet Evangelism Workshops Announced



January 18, 2005 -- Six new workshops have been added for the Internet Evangelism for the 21st Century conference April 1-2 at Liberty University. Dr. Rowland Croucher (from Australia) will do a workshop called Evangelism on Usenet Newsgroups; Steve Knight of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association along with DJ Chuang, Stephen Shields, Will Samson and Nick Ciske will do a workshop entitled Reaching the Connected with Blogging; Nick Ciske will present Podcasting and Internet Evangelism. At least two other workshops are being planned, Using Chatrooms and Internet Evangelism and Reaching Women on the Internet - leader to be announced. Professor Todd Smith of Liberty University will present The Church, Evangelism and Interactive Virtual Reality Worlds.

To date we have had over 1048 visits to the site from the USA, 52 from Canada, 18 UK, 14 Singapore, 13 Russian Federation, 11 Germany, 16 Australia, 11 India and many from other countries including Israel, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, New Zealand and Oman! A total of 1310 unique visitors and 974 reloads! Conference organizers are looking forward to a full conference.

One of the key aspects of Internet Evangelism for the 21st Century is it's location on the wireless Liberty University campus in Central Virginia. The conference will be held in the newly renovated Campus North 800,000 square foot facility that hosts LU's School of Law and 110,000 LaHaye Student Center.

Each of the 19 - 1.5 hour workshops will be video and audio taped and offered, technology permitting, streamed live from the conference website. At the very least, visitors will be able to stream the audio version and download them as a "podcast" for later listening.

Special affinity groups will meet in dedicated rooms over lunch on Saturday. Groups planned include: Blogging, Web Follow-up, Convergence, Unreached People Groups and Women.
