Mormon missionary efforts aided by new website

The More Good Foundation announces the creation of a new website dedicated to assisting Mormon missionaries, investigators, and converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, better known as the Mormon Church, to be called "Meet the Mormon Missionaries." It can be found at http://www.meetmormonmissionaries.org. This site is going live immediately, though more resources and content will be added over time.



This site will reach out to people of all faiths and invite them to study the teachings of the Mormon Church as taught by the Mormon missionaries and to become acquainted with the ceremonies, traditions, and beliefs of Mormons. Eventually, the site will offer online tutorials similar to what the Mormon missionaries teach in addition to its current archives of articles and reference material about Mormon beliefs and practices.



The site will be particularly aimed at those seeking to learn more about the Mormon Church with the intent of possibly joining, but who either cannot or choose not to meet with the Mormon missionaries at this time. The site will therefore include information and tips about attending Mormon Church worship services and other religious activities, strategies on learning how to become an active member of the Mormon Church and community, and information regarding common concerns that converts to Mormonism sometimes have.



In addition to this, the site contains sections on Mormon missionaries detailing everything from their daily routine to their training background. The inspiration and purpose behind this site is to encourage people to listen to what the Mormon missionaries teach and to study the teachings of the Mormon Church from an open, positive, and believing viewpoint, and to do so in a way that does not put undo pressure on investigators nor disparage other religious traditions.
