Inaugural San Diego HiPerformance Expo

August 1, 2008 -- The San Diego Auto Swap is proud to announce that Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2008 is the date for its First San Diego Hi-Performance Expo at Qualcomm Stadium. This event is planned to be held annually on Labor Day.



The San Diego Auto Swap has been serving Vehicle Hobbyists since 1990 with its Classic Car & Cycle Open Air Marketplace and Shows. Qualcomm Stadium is the place where thousands will go to find great wheels and deals on Labor Day, Monday. There will be hundreds of classics, collectibles, tuners, low riders, customs, hi-performance and racing vehicles in the Show & Sale area, plus acres of vendors selling thousands of parts and accessories in the Swap Meet area -- all at this first San Diego Open Air Hi-Performance Expo. In addition to the dozens of trophies and prizes that will be awarded at this expo, there will also be a distinctive "Best of Show" trophy with a cash prize.



The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) will also be holding an Autocross in concert with the San Diego Hi-Performance Expo (SDHPE). Participants in the SDHPE will not only be able to view the racing, but they can also take part. The SCCA has offered to let SDHPE attendees get a "Ride With A Racer" for Free! All the SCCA asks is that they sign a waiver and then they are off to the Races! The Media is welcome to go for a ride.



This event is Free for All Active Military. It's the San Diego Auto Swap's way of supporting our troops. Active military just need to show their ID to gain free entry.



The San Diego Hi-Performance Expo is open to all cars, trucks, cycles, off road vehicles and boats. They have even had a Helicopter land in the parking lot to be sold at a past event! The SDHPE will be held on Labor Day, Monday, September 1 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vendor spaces are only $30 (prepaid); to show or sell a car is just $15, cycles - $10 and General Admission is $10, with parking and kids under 13 free. 2 for 1 Discount Coupons are available for discounted admission to the SDHPE.



Qualcomm Stadium is located at 9449 Friars Road, San Diego, CA 92108, at the intersection of I-8 and I-15 in the Mission Valley area of San Diego.
