New York Pastor Publishes the First Complete AramaicEnglish Interlinear...

Rev. David Bauscher of Cambridge, NY has just published two books with Lulu.com the world'ss fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books. The books are titled The Aramaic-English Interlinear New Testament and Jegar Sahadutha-Heap of Witness.



About the Aramaic-English Interlinear New Testament:

This is the New Testament in the language of Jesus and his countrymen of 1st century Israel, with a word for word translation into English next to each Aramaic word. Aramaic was used in Mel Gibson'ss film The Passion of the Christ to make the film as realistic and accurate as possible. This New Testament will surprise and thrill the reader with its power and inspiration coming from the words of Ayshu (Jesus in ancient Aramaic) as He originally spoke them and a very literal English rendering. Much evidence is presented demonstrating very powerfully that The Peshitta Aramaic NT is the original behind The Greek NT.



There are many graphics and even photos from Dead Sea Scrolls to illustrate an Aramaic verse and how a reading was interpreted by a Greek translating the text. The Interlinear has each verse of the New Testament in large Hebrew letters with adjacent English words. There are many textual notes in each Gospel with accompanying devotional commentary in John'ss Gospel for the first half of John and chapter 17. 794 pages.



About Jegar Sahadutha-'sHeap of Witness's (Evidence for an Aramaic Original NT):



This is a compilation of at least 500 evidences from my Aramaic-English Interlinear New Testament supporting an Aramaic original behind a Greek translation of the New Testament (Peshitta).I have illustrated many of the examples in the Peshitta and Greek NT'ss using Dead Sea Scroll script Aramaic letters and Greek letters. Other examples include historical and grammatical errors in the Greek New Testament, which are not found in the Peshitta,demonstrating that The Peshitta-Peshitto Aramaic New Testament is the original text behind The Greek New Testament. There are examples drawn from 26 New Testament books-except Jude. The Aramaic edition I use and present in my interlinear is the Syriac New Testament of The 1979 UBS Syriac Bible. It is a critical edition based on several critical editions:one of the Gospels, by Gwilliam & Pusey (1901) , Gwilliams's 1920 edition of Acts and Paul'ss Epistles and a 1920 edition of John Gwynn'ss critical editions of The Catholic Epistles and Revelation.177 pages

David Bauscher is a pastor and former high school teacher with a proficiency in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic and has been preaching & teaching The Bible since 1976 in several churches in the USA.
