Konica Minolta to Market KIP 9000 Series HighVolume Wide Format Printing System

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta (http://kmbs.konicaminolta.us/content/home/index.html)), a leading provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop, announces the availability of the KIP 9000 Series wide format network print system (http://kmbs.konicaminolta.us/content/products/models/KIP9000.html) from KIP America, a leading manufacturer of wide-format printing and imaging technology. Delivering high-quality 600 dpi resolution images in black-and-white, this toner-based multifunctional (print, copy, and scan) series delivers production class reliability and productivity at unmatched maximum production speeds of 22 'D'-sized prints per minute - 15 percent faster than any other wide-format printing system in its class.

Featuring patented KIP High Definition Print Technology, the KIP 9000 series also offers an easy to use touch screen Image Processing System (IPS) that permits access to and streamlines productivity of the device, including networking capabilities to connect with additional IT infrastructures, all multifunction capabilities, and web-based viewing and printing of documents in a wide range of formats. All KIP 9000 systems feature advanced self-diagnostic systems that help troubleshoot potential print delays by providing administrators with system status alerts, via Email or text messaging, of resource depletion or other potential technical issues.

"The KIP 9000 series expands our product line of production print solutions, allowing us to provide our wide format customers additional capabilities to accommodate the demands of this growing market segment," said Kevin P. Kern, vice president, marketing, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. "Continuing to offer the patented KIP technology and backed by the Konica Minolta name, the KIP 9000 Series couples high output quality with unmatched speeds for enhanced productivity."

In addition, the modular concept of the KIP 9000 Series also permits configuration capabilities to support any wide-format print production workflow environment. The KIP 9000 Series includes a variety of options to meet online print stacking and folding needs, and the systems are easily upgradeable via software key codes provided with all devices.

The KIP 9000 Series is available now in a variety of configurations, including black-and-white and color scanning capabilities, and also features hardware and software options that further enhance the system functionality.
