WaveMaker 5.1 Makes Web Development Easier Than Ever

WaveMaker (http://www.wavemaker.com)'s8482;, the leading visual development platform for web applications, today announced version 5.1 of its WaveMaker development platform. This version incorporated a number of suggested enhancements from the 10,000-strong WaveMaker developer community.

Feedback from our open source community drove much of the new functionality WaveMaker 5.1, said Derek Henninger, Vice President of Engineering for WaveMaker Software. WaveMaker 5.1 simplifies the process for connecting widgets to data and provides extensive context-sensitive help - no more hunting through the documentation! We also added diagnostics so developers can see how application components are connected.

Improvements to WaveMaker 5.1

*Diagnostics: A new Diagnostics tab shows all bindings within the project. Use this information

to follow the flow of activities within your application.

*Context sensitive help: Each widget property and event now has a next to it. Just click the to find out more about it.

*Simplified binding: Now there are three binding modes - Simple, Advanced, 's38; Expression. Simple mode makes binding - you guessed it - simpler.

*Type validation flags: Green check marks show that bind source and destination match. Red Xs show that types do not match.

*Reorganized widget palette: Now it'ss easier to find the widget you'sre looking for.

*Streamlined Property Inspector: Get quicker access to the properties used most.
