A man from New Jersey is auctioning off the "The World's Biggest Waste of Money" on the online auction site eBay. The auction has already received over 2,000 views has been bid up to
$60.99 by a total of 36 bidders. The item remains one of the most watched items on eBay, and is on eBay's page of "most popular" items.
Steven Toth, 23, who placed the auction on eBay, says that he knows "people buy some really weird things on eBay that they later say were a big waste of money, so I thought it would be
funny to see how far I could take it. I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in an auction for a big a waste of money."
Strange eBay auctions have been getting national attention recently. In one case, a woman auctioned off advertising space on her forehead to the tune of ten thousand dollars. This latest
national attention grabbing auction really pushes the limit of what people will buy on eBay.
"People buy everything on eBay, but it will be fun to see how far this goes!" Mr. Toth said.
On the web until July 17, the auction is available for viewing at:
