Zayo Group Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire FiberNet TelecomGroup

Zayo Group, a regional provider of bandwidth and telecom services to carrier, enterprise and government customers, announced today it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire FiberNet Telecom Group (Nasdaq: FTGX), a leading provider of complex interconnection services enabling the exchange of voice, video and data traffic between multiple global networks. The acquisition is subject to approval by regulators and FiberNet shareholders, as well as other customary closing conditions. The transaction is expected to be completed during the third quarter of 2009.
