Builders Exam Qualifications Become Stricter
January 19, 2005 -- The examinations people have to take to qualify for a Michigan Residential Builders License will be tougher to pass effective April 1, 2005. These changes are a result of test validation studies conducted with Michigan licensees.
According to Marty Persampieri, Construction Program Administrator at PSI Examination Services, the passing score for the Building Practice and Trades portion of the exam will increase from 70% to 73%, or 73 out of 100. The passing score for the Business and Law portion of the exam will increase from 60% to 72%, or 36 out of 50.
The need to prepare for the state examination is often underestimated. Advance preparation is crucial in order to pass that exam on the first attempt. The Builders License Class, Inc. provides a comprehensive training program that prepares people to pass the Residential Builders License Exam. Classes are held in 32 locations throughout the state of Michigan. For more details on test qualifications and preparation, call 1-800-727-7104 or visit www.licensetobuild.com.
