Atlas Wholesale owner Al Aorga knew changes had to be made. Since launching Johnny B. 10 years ago, the line had grown - both in popularity and recognition - yet always remained true to its roots of offering men authentic grooming products at reasonable prices. But during that period the Johnny B. website became outdated and didn't portray the brand the way he wanted. Appearing in men's consumer magazines like Cargo, Maxim and Men's Fitness made the demand for the product greater than ever, warranting an online store. So Aorga made the investment and had the website redesigned.



"Since going live, the response to the site has been nothing short of positive. Now the site reflects Johnny B.'s roots, and visitors are drawn in from the homepage immediately," explained Aorga. "It has a retro vibe tied together by 1950s style graphics and music. Current images help give it a polished, professional look. And the online store is a big hit."



Visitors who log on to www.johnnybhaircare.com are transported to the homepage, which features a description of the line as well as interactive shots of the products. Brown, blue, black and yellow help set the masculine tone and background images of classic cars, bottle caps and transistor radios give it a retro feel. "The Great Pretender" plays in the background, adding to the 1950s feel, and visitors can link to the online store and a contact page with ease.



The online store is easy to navigate. A simple move of the curser over a product brings the image to a larger box with a description and price. Items can be added to a shopping cart and check out is via PayPal.
