Princess Celebrates 40th Anniversary Sailing Out of San Francisco

To commemorate Princess Cruises's40th anniversary sailing from the City by the Bay, Rodney Fong (left), president of the San Francisco Port Commission presents a proclamation from Mayor Gavin Newsom declaring Princess Cruises Day in San Francisco (http://www.princess.com/learn/ports/embarkation/ports/SFO.html) on June 3 to Steve Nielsen (right), vice president of shore operations, Princess Cruises. Fitting to the celebration, Nielsen also celebrates his 40th anniversary with Princess Cruises this year.

Princess Italia first sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge on June 3, 1969, for her first voyage to Alaska (http://www.princess.com/learn/destinations/alaska/index.html).
