Rapping With Bigg Premiere

On a recent drop in to a Long Island recording studio, Jenna Kai bumped into the big man himself, Bigg Premiere. While proofing the latest edition of 's8220;Live From New York's8221; radio show, she got the low down on the international radio host.



Question(Q): What's8217;s the best thing about having a radio show

Answer(A): Having a direct contact to listeners and music consumers. They seem to enjoy my character and I love their participation. That's8217;s hip hop!



Q: How did you decide to start a record label

A: Well I's8217;ve been signed before and I owned an indie label before.    
This venture is based on how music is purchased in the future. My radio show is based on the web and so is the new label. Having a new label with most of the interaction occurring on the net is brand new to me and I wanted to be a part of that.



Q: How is working with Markeith

A: Markeith is cool. He's8217;s very intelligent and has a lot to offer. It's8217;s hard for me to do work with a corporate head when it comes to being an artist because they don's8217;t understand the aspect of being creative, but Markeith is patient and has an open mind. He makes things comfortable for all of us.



Q: What's8217;s the craziest thing you have ever done

A: Decide to do another album.



Q: What's8217;s in your CD player right now

A: Nothing, I talk to myself it keeps my mind free.



Q: Who are your favorite indie artists

A: Jus Mula and Dose(Dirty Work Inc.)



Q: How did you come up with the name River Sity Alliance

A: I's8217;m from River Head, New York -- I also call it 's8220;River City's8221;. Alliance -- is coming together with others who can contribute to the world of urban music.



Q: What's8217;s up with the album, who's8217;s on it, when can we get it

A: The album features the best indie and unsigned artists that have impressed me over the past few years. These artists grind and push so hard that I respect them on any and every level. On the album we have: Jus Mula, Skyzoo, Dose(Dirty Work Inc), C Squarred, The Paper Boyz, Aych, and a few surprises. You should find the album at every major retail outlet on the planet the fall.



Q: What's8217;s funny to you

A: (While laughing) This question, nothing right now I's8217;m a serious Dude.



Q: What does Bigg Premiere like to eat

A: Home cooked food. I travel a lot so I hate fast food.



Q: What's8217;s the best book you ever read

A: Lately the Ric Flair book
