The tattoo is more popular than ever. According to a recent Pew Research Center* poll, 36% of Americans between the ages of 18 and 25 have a tattoo and 40 percent of Americans between 26 and 40 have a tattoo. With so many people getting tattoos, it is not surprising that some have regrets.
According to a Harris Interactive** poll, 17% regret getting their tattoo. The main reason is that their tattoo includes people's names. The poll points out that Republicans and people
from the South have the highest incident of regret.
Bernard Williman, VP at Wrecking Balm mentions that "the warning we all hear is to make sure you are certain you want a tattoo, once you get one, it's yours for life". He goes on to say
"we've all heard the warning. But, it is now just an urban myth. Tattoos are no longer permanent".
