LGE Launches Chocolate Phone in Jordan

LG Electronics (LGE), the global and regional digital leader in consumer electronics and technological applications, recently launched its new KG800 Chocolate phone in Jordanian markets. Through a lavish promotional campaign, representatives from LGE were present at booths set up across the kingdom to introduce members of the community to all that this mobile phone has to offer.

's8216;LGE Chocolate's8217;, the KG800, is the first model to go on sale in the region from LGE's8217;s exclusive Black Label series, and it is the world's8217;s first mobile with a touch-sensitive screen.

Commenting on LGE's8217;s new release, Mr. T. Y. Lee the General Manager of the LGE Amman Branch Office said, 's8220;The LGE Chocolate phone responds to the demands of the market by combining the elements of ingenuity and elegance, all in one mobile handset. We understand that modern buying trends are governed as much by emotion as by product specification and the LGE Chocolate phone connects on both levels as it is unique and desirable's8221;

Citing memorable design success stories elsewhere in the business world, Mr. Lee added: 's8220;Good design is good business, and the Black Label series brings something totally new to the mobile market. Other manufacturers have launched models that have design as a key attribute, but with LGE Chocolate, the firm has become the first manufacturer to proactively design and market a handset based on its visual and emotional appeal.'s8221;

Measuring just 15mm in thickness, the KG800 uses a hidden LCD screen to appear as a solid, black block when not in use. There are no exposed buttons, but the keypad glows red when activated by the lightest touch.

On sale in the region as of June 1st, LGE Chocolate has won the IF and Red Dot Design awards, two highly regarded and very prestigious European design awards.

Hosting a number of key engineering breakthroughs, this new handset also meets new European Union legislations on environmental performance. The sleek handset uses non-toxic materials, and lead-free solder to secure parts on its Printed Wired Board (PWB).

The new model includes a class-leading MP3/AAC music player, 128MB built-in memory (enough to record up to 40 songs), 1.3 mega-pixel camera with video, and 800mAh battery with 200 hours of standby time and three hours 20 minutes of talk time.
