OBD Incorporated Announces Availability of Automotive Scan Tool Covers

OBD Incorporated, an automobile repair tool accessory manufacturer, announces the availability of its full line of rugged, high quality scan tool covers.

Marketed under the OBD GEAR brand, all scan tool covers are designed to provide protection from the dirt and dangers of the shop environment, plus help protect the tool's appearance, usability and resale value.

"Professional automobile repair technicians and repair shop owners have made a huge investment in their scan tools," said Bill Welch, General Manager, OBD Incorporated. "Now they have an easy and affordable way to protect that investment."

Covers are available for the Snap-on MODIS, SOLUS and ETHOS, as well as the OTC Genisys. All scan tool covers are designed with a clear display protector and easy access to controls and commonly used features.

The cover for MODIS is available in genuine leather for $99, or rugged synthetic leather for $79. Both feature easy access to the top ports and CF card slot, quick battery access and allow for use of the swing-out stand. The vents for cooling are left uncovered to preserve air flow necessary for cooling.

The cover for SOLUS is available in genuine leather for $79, or rugged synthetic leather for $59. They maintain the easily removable end grip to simplify battery access, plus allow for easy access to the top ports and memory modules. Cooling vents and operation of the swing-out stand are also maintained.

The cover for ETHOS is available in rugged synthetic leather for $39. It features a dedicated opening for quick access to the batteries and memory module.

The cover for Genisys is available in rugged synthetic leather for $59. Card slots on both sides are left uncovered for easy access. The swing-out stand and popular rear-mounted accessories can also be used.
