The weekend continued on Saturday with an incredible display of 200+ exotic cars, motorcycles and watercraft placed for display in the park overlooking the turquoise waters of Tampa Bay. Vehicles included models from Bugatti, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, Maybach, Aston-Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Ducati, Bimota, Donzi and many others. A must see was the experimental high speed watercraft "Sea Phantom". Rare automotive examples included the Bugatti Pur Sang, one of only five to be made, the 2002 Ferrari Formula One, World Champion car driven by Michael Schumacher, a 1930 Bentley 4.5 litre Vanden Plas Tourer, two "One off" Ferrari's in triple white and a host of others.
The Festivals of Speed allowed attendees to stroll the grounds while enjoying exciting culinary delights and fine wines offered by onsite cafes. This year the event paid tribute to Lamborghini's 45th anniversary. Lamborghini, Chief test driver, Valentino Balboni was flown in from Italy to help celebrate. A special champagne toast took place to pay homage to his achievements and was a highlight of the event on Saturday.
Entertainment for the day included charitable live & silent auctions benefiting the Children's Dream Fund of St. Petersburg, a strolling saxophonist; a luxury lifestyle pavilion with displays of fine wines, cigars, jewelry, a Bang & Olufsen audio/video display as well as many other luxury items. The grand finale was an awards presentation to recognize award-winning vehicles. A rare "One Off" Ferrari took Best of Show. To wrap things up, VIP's boarded the 100' ft. Vintage Chris Craft "Le Club Tarpon" for a sunset cruise on the bay. The cruise included cocktails and culinary tasting's. The next event takes place at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando on Sunday, October 12th.
