CRB INC Announces Special Performaers for CRS36 Thursday and Friday Lunches Showcase Performan

January 19, 2005 -- Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. has announced the showcase performers for the Thursday and Friday lunches at the 36th Annual Country Radio Seminar. Performers will include Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry, Jamie O'Neal and Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band. Both lunches are scheduled for noon to 1:50 p.m. Thursday, March 3 and Friday, March 4, 2005 and will take place on the Nashville Convention Center's Level 1 in the CMA Performance Hall.

Thursday's lunch, sponsored by Sony Music Nashville, will feature Gretchen Wilson and Montgomery Gentry. Wilson, a breakout sensation this past year, signed to Sony Music Nashville soon after she was discovered by MuzikMafia godfathers Big Kenny and John Rich. She has written and co-written over 80 songs, including her super hit singles "Redneck Woman,"Here For The Party" and "When I Think About Cheatin'."

On their fourth CD, You Do Your Thing, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry prove once again why they have been a successful country duo for so long. Montgomery Gentry has won numerous awards, including the CMA's Duo of the Year (2000), the American Music Award for Favorite New Artist-Country (2000), the Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Vocal Group or Duo (2000) and the 2000 and 2001 Radio & Records Readers' Poll award for Top Country Duo.

Friday's lunch, sponsored by Capitol Nashville, will feature Jamie O'Neal and Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band. Although Jamie O'Neal was out of the spotlight for more than a year after giving birth to her daughter, she has emerged with a new label and outlook on life. Her first single, "Trying to Find Atlantis," has already established her comeback as a shining success. O'Neal initially appeared on the scene when her first single, "There Is No Arizona," (2001) caught the attention of country music listeners. Her follow-up, "When I Think About Angels," also went to the top of the chart. That same year, O'Neal won the Academy of Country Music Top New Female Vocalist award and Billboard's Top New Country Artist award. She was also nominated for three Grammy awards in 2002.

A breathtaking burst of manic musical virtuosity, Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band, one of the newest signings at Capitol Nashville, have been leaving audiences stunned and exhilarated with their no-holds-barred live shows. Formed in Salt Lake City, the band writes songs that range from fun and lighthearted to sweetly poignant, giving them a feel-good aura that reaches out to every member of the audience.

CRB has also previously announced a special Wednesday lunch on March 2, 2005, which will be sponsored by Curb/Asylum Records and feature performers LeAnn Rimes and Cowboy Crush.
