M&S Music Manegement has teamed with Shirley's Epilepsy Awareness Program to put together a Special Talent Contest that will be open to qualified participants from Indiana, Illinois,
Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky. The event will be held in the Indianapolis area on or around January 21st, 2006.
Shirley has been afflicted with Epilepsy since the age of fourteen. She is now fifty-seven. She has written poetry for the past Twenty-Five years and was recognized in Nashville,
Tennessee four years ago for her talents. She has two songs that have been published and will be released soon. The first is Entitled "Time" which is country/gospel and performed by
Clayton Holmes (up and coming Nashville Vocalist) and the second is "A Touch of Beauty" performed by Cliff Ayers Ostermeyer.
Mr. Ostermeyer is well known for his song "My Blue Heaven" which was famous in the fifties and still recognized fifty years later. Shirley has formed this organization because she knows
first hand what it is like to want to achieve your goals in life, and to be hampered by unforseen seizures that those around her do not understand.
M&S Music Management has researched what involvement people have had in the past in Epilepsy Research and especially Awareness of this dreaded disease. The conclusion has been that
very few people have wanted to get involved in helping to find a cure or even trying to understand how those with this disease cope with every-day life. This is a disease that can strike
anyone at any time in their life without warning or provocation.
Almost one in every family has at least one member of their family, mother, father, siblings, or relatives, that have had or does have some form of this disease.
This will be the first of many fund-raisers that will be held to raise money to eradicate this forever. The talent that we will be looking for are: Country-Traditional
Country-Country/Gospel-Gospel-Bluegrass, and Christian Soft Rock. At the event there will be no Strobe Lights, no Disco Balls, no Flashing Colored Lights, no Police Lights or Sirens.
There will be a Professional Talent Agency from Nashville, Tennessee that will be conducting the contest. Proceeds will go to Shirley's Epilepsy Awareness Program.
We also need Sponsors, Committee Members, Ideas for Up-Coming events (i.e. Golf Outings, Walk-A-Thons, ect.) People willing to take calls, and Private Donations. Shirley is also available
for Radio or T.V. interviews as well. M&S Music Management has two sites on line. 10% of all sales from these sites will be contributed to Shirley's Epilepsy Awareness Program along
with the sites that I will list here. Even a donation of $1.00 would help to begin the drive to free thousands of people from this nightmare world. For more information on the program or
to lend your support contact (317) 887-2819. Please leave a message as we only have one line available at this time. Help us help others.
