GetActive Software, a leader in online constituent relationship management (eCRM) services, announces a new initiative to
support nonprofit clients's sophisticated needs for new, creative fundraising and organizing efforts.
GetActive Extensions, a series of product features and enhancements to support application and data integration, will allow GetActive clients to consolidate external activities and
constituent information from a combination of web-based eCRM software and specialized third-party applications.
Enabling nonprofit clients to leverage a wider range of engagement options while continuing to benefit from the integration features of GetActive, GetActive Extensions will include:
* A growing library of integration APIs and web services to provide additional methods for storing and retrieving data from GetActive'ss central online database, the Constituent Data
Hub(TM), including tools for building mash-ups of third-party services, such as Flickr and Google;
* Enhanced product support of external activities through a new series of flexible tools to track multi-level offline or online activities not processed by GetActive;
* New tools within GetActive'ss integrated Website Management module (WSM) to create online forms that capture user-contributed content, relate these activities to a constituent'ss
profile, and use the data to drive targeted, personalized outreach; and
* An online forum for GetActive'ss community of clients and technology solution partners to exchange ideas, code snippets,and best practices.
There is a real appetite among GetActive'ss clients to find new and creative ways to engage their constituents, grow their list, and interact with supporters, said Tom Krackeler,
GetActive'ss Senior Vice President for Products. Many applications are springing up across the web that nonprofits can use but they want the resulting data from these specialized
applications to be a part of their constituents's existing online history so the information can be used effectively for targeted outreach.
GetActive Extensions will enable clients to store constituent activities that are powered by external applications or that occur offline, giving nonprofits the best of both worlds, said
Krackeler, adding that GetActive partners and clients, such as Beaconfire Consulting and shared client American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), are already
using GetActive'ss APIs with popular consumer software to provide a more powerful strategy for engagement.
GetActive'ss APIs provided us the tools to develop several online mash-ups for our shared clients, such as the recent ActNow.org
project for AFSCME, which merged Google maps with a GetActive-powered petition campaign to create an interactive map displaying participants's virtual yard signs, said Michael Cervino,
Vice President and Co-Founder of Beaconfire Consulting. With additional APIs and the opportunity to pass activities from other applications directly into the GetActive database, we can be
even more innovative and effective in taking our clients's campaigns into new spaces and catching the attention of constituents. We look forward to working with GetActive and contributing
to the GetActive Extensions initiative.
