Loop, M.D., the former Chairman and CEO of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Board of Governors and current Partner in Radius Ventures, has joined the Board of Directors.
Loop became a Radius Venture Partner (http://www.radiusventures.com) in 2007 after having been affiliated with The Cleveland Clinic Foundation
since 1970, where he most recently served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Board of Governors from 1989 to 2004. Previously, Loop was Chairman of the Department of
Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic from 1975 to 1999. Loop is also the former President of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery and has served in
numerous leadership roles in the areas of science and education. He currently serves on the board of directors for Athersys, Inc., a Radius portfolio company, Tenet Healthcare
Corporation, and Intuitive Surgical, Inc., and several private corporate boards. He has written extensively, with over 350 publications to date, and has served on numerous healthcare
editorial boards. Loop received his B.S. in Science from Purdue University and his M.D. from George Washington University.
