Spatial Insights Joins with Maponics to Offer Neighborhood Boundaries...

Although useful for many applications, from real estate to local politics, neighborhood boundaries have been unavailable for use in GIS mapping software - until now. Spatial Insights is pleased to be able to offer Maponics Neighborhoods: hand-drawn and validated GIS polygons covering hundreds of US cities.

Neighborhood boundaries are significant because they represent areas of similar demographic and socioeconomic characteristics. By accurately defining these areas, more precise target marketing and trade area analysis is possible.

"Comprehensive, nationwide neighborhood boundaries have long been missing from the GIS data collective," said Don Segal, president of Spatial Insights. "With our new strategic partnership with Maponics, we're able to offer our clients a much asked-for dataset for maps, analysis, and target marketing."

The neighborhood boundary data are available in most GIS formats and are updated quarterly.
