According to a recent survey on NHS Dental Service, published in the International Journal of Health Geographics, there is around three NHS dentists for 10,000 people in England on average. Long waiting lists can be avoided by paying for private care, and being charged more than seven times as much. Some patients have given up on UK and have opted to combine dental treatment with a break in abroad.
