A new blog, "New Paradigm Digest", offers a window on positive emerging trends across disciplines, cultures and age groups. It's editor, Jeff Hutner, believes we are in the midst of a powerful business and social transformation that has the potential to dissolve the us vs them paradigm and replace it with an understanding of our inherent connection with each other and the earth. It is that awakened consciousness in action that New Paradigm Digest will feature.
In the 60's, Jeff Hutner was a seeker who enjoyed reading about and meeting visionaries. In his first career, Hutner worked on Wall Street in sales, research and investment banking and
helped raise money for Earth Child, the country's first organic baby food company and Aspen Systems, a legal data base provider. As an entrepreneur and marketer in the 70's and 80's, he
brought "indoor-skydiving" to the U.S. and natural foods to movie theaters.
In the early 90's, after reading visionary Willis Harman's Global Mind Change, Hutner edited and published New Paradigm Digest (http://www.newparadigmdigest.com) (NPD), an interdisciplinary quarterly journal that many of his subscribers called "the most uplifting publication
they had ever read." Harman became a mentor and joined his Advisory Board along with Michael Toms, the host of New Dimensions Radio and others.
Hutner sent his first issue to marketing guru Gary Halbert, who called it "a must-read" for marketers, new product developers, investors, futurists and anyone seeking access to positive
emerging trends they could use to inform their planning. After a year of success, Hutner was sidelined for four months with a pinched-nerve and was forced to stop publishing. Once he
recovered, he went on to consult with small fast growing "natural lifestyle" companies today referred to as the $200+ billion LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) market. His
clients included Nutiva, a leading producer of organic hemp food products and coconut oil and QuantumThink, the creator and marketer of a new system of thinking based on the findings of
quantum science.
Sixteen years later, Hutner is launching the blog edition of New Paradigm Digest. "A few months ago for about a week straight, I kept hearing the word paradigm (a pattern or model of
reality) over and over on the radio and reading it in print and knew the time had come to re-launch," he says.
Asked about launching New Paradigm Digest on April Fool's Day, Hutner responds, "I discovered that Apple launched on April 1 and Google chose the date to announce their latest initiative
each year. Hutner smiles and adds, "in Shakespeare, the Fool always had the best lines and in the Tarot, the Fool is the card of infinite possibilities."
"My whole life, I've been an optimist. In fact, I once took a test for optimism developed by a Dallas psychologist and was told that no one had ever scored higher. It's not that I'm blind
to the many challenges we face today. I simply see those challenges as evolutionary catalysts that inspire creative problem solvers and entrepreneurs to place their talents in the service
of life and develop solutions that benefit us all." Hutner offers.
NPD is a portal for people and projects that are the building blocks of a new planetary civilization that is inclusive, places people and the planet on equal footing with profits and is
populated with compassionate and loving people. Hutner is excited to see this creative force expanding at precisely the moment when things appear to be most out of control. "In chaos
theory, things appear most chaotic and confusing moments before they reorganize at a higher state of integration," he says.
"I see nothing less than the restoration and redesign of a world that works for everyone. My mission," says Hutner, "is to illuminate and contribute to the acceleration of evolutionary
thinking in action. The NPD platform is designed to support every subscriber and member of the larger community in seeing their values reflected on a daily basis, expressing their
brilliance (http://newparadigmdigest.com/humanity-unites-brilliance/), and feeling a bit more hopeful about the
future and their ability to positively impact it." New Paradigm Digest is one of a growing number of alternative media, websites and blogs that reflect and report on positive emerging
trends.
It's easy to look at our world, see what's wrong and withdraw. But rather than staying trapped in negativity and its physical manifestations, more and more individuals are exploring how
they can collaborate and co-create with others to produce the next generation of sustainable products (http://newparadigmdigest.com/green-chip-on-new-wind-power-record/), services and processes. Jeff invites passionate
new paradigm explorers to become part of his growing community of subscribers and contributors at http://www.newparadigmdigest.com.
