Pittsburgh G2O Explained Watch Penn State Experts on YouTube



Making sense of the complex issues the G-20 will tackle at their summit in Pittsburgh this month will be made a little easier, thanks to a series of YouTube videos featuring Penn State educators. The list of challenges the G-20 faces is daunting: the global economic crisis, sustainable development, terrorist financing and climate change, among others. To help the public make sense of the Sept. 24's8211;25th summit, six Penn State experts provide their insights in a series of brief (less than three minutes long) videos to be released by Penn State Outreach daily at http://www.youtube.com/user/pennstateoutreach



The schedule is as follows.



Tues., Sept 1: International Conflict Resolution, featuring Scott Bennett, Jr., Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Penn State.



Wed., Sept. 2: Our Interdependent Economy, featuring Fariborz Ghadar, director of Penn State's8217;s Center for Global Business Studies.



Thurs., Sept. 3: Europe on the Global Stage, Pennsylvania's8217;s Role: featuring Terrence Guay, clinical associate professor in Penn State's8217;s Smeal College of Business.



Tues., Sept 15: G-20: A Magnet for Social Activism and Protest, featuring John McCarthy, professor of sociology from the College of the Liberal Arts at Penn State.



Wed., Sept. 16: Placing Ethics and Integrity in G-20's8217;s Core Mission, featuring Nancy Tuana, director of Penn State's8217;s Rock Ethics Institute.



Thurs., Sept. 17: G-20's8217;s Host: The City of Pittsburgh, featuring Deno DeCiantis, director of The Penn State Center: Engaging Pittsburgh.
