"We've all felt the sting of high gas and grocery prices over the last several months. A promotion like the Spring Doubleheader is a great way to try something new this spring while keeping some cash in your pocket," said Pam Donahoo, Executive Director of American Mensa. "For those who think they're smart enough to join Mensa, but they're not ready to take the Mensa Admission Test, the Mensa Home Test is a way to gauge their success on the real exam. The Spring Doubleheader promotion encourages those who are curious about Mensa to test at a reduced price and explore all of the great things a group like ours has to offer."
The Mensa Home Test is designed to give you an understanding of what to expect from American Mensa's supervised test. However, it is not mandatory for membership and is only available for those ages 14 and older. The Mensa Home Test will not qualify a person for Mensa membership. To learn more or order a Mensa Home Test, visit www.us.mensa.org/MHT.
To become a member of Mensa, you can either present evidence of prior testing (American Mensa accepts scores from more than 200 standardized tests) or take a supervised test given by a Mensa Proctor. If you score at or above the 98th percentile on either of the two tests, you'll qualify and be invited to join Mensa. Those 14 years and older may take the test. You may submit evidence of prior testing at any age.
American Mensa is an organization open to anyone who scores in the top two percent on an accepted, standardized intelligence test. The organization has more than 56,000 members in the United States and more than 110,000 members around the world. Members of Mensa attend local and national events, join special interest groups such as astronomy and philosophy, and help out in their communities through various projects. For more information about Mensa, or to apply for membership, visit www.us.mensa.org or call (800) 66-MENSA.
