WonderTherecom Announces Partnership with GeoCuriosity
WonderThere.com announces a partnership with GeoCuriosity, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping students explore the wonders of geography through maps, books, and mapping software.
The partnership includes giving GeoCuriosity access to WonderThere.com's library of geographical material; material that covers each of the seven continents, including Asia, Europe, and North America.
"We are privileged to be providing a valuable service to students around the country," says George Solana, CEO of WonderThere.com. "We feel that GeoCuriosity offers a great service in cultivating a love of geography with children and inviting them to explore their world. The agreement is certainly beneficial to both organizations, but the students are the real winners."
WonderThere.com located at http://www.wonderthere.com is a comprehensive geographical website. With thousands of visitors each month, WonderThere.com allows them to explore their world from their computers. The site offers a peek into different cultures around the globe.
"It's surprising to see how many people are interested in faraway places and cultures. Getting folks excited about the larger world is what keeps us going." Solana added.
GeoCuriosity, founded in 1968, is a nonprofit organization that enhances geographical education. From its humble roots in the Greater Los Angeles area, GeoCuriosity works with educators across the country to develop effective geography lesson plans and provides materials such as books, videos, and interactive software which helps students retain the lessons that they learn.
The five-year agreement will allow GeoCuriosity to leverage WonderThere.com's database and allow the creation of high-quality software and websites.
