Gatlin Education Services announced today it will offer a Principles of Private Investigation course beginning this fall. The 200-hour course will be offered solely through Gatlin's8217;s
partnership with major colleges and universities.
Designed as a comprehensive basic course, the Principles of Private Investigation will help students learn the crucial techniques of a successful PI, such as information gathering.
The online course presents students with a certificate of completion upon finishing but does not provide a license to practice private investigation. Students will gain valuable insight
that will prepare them for a license, including terms, codes and statutes of the legal system, surveillance techniques, conducting a missing persons search, client and witness interviews,
testifying in court and more.
's8220;The private investigation course will open doors for students who want to get into the business as well as complement the skills of professionals in related industries,'s8221; said
Stephen Gatlin, founder of Fort Worth-based Gatlin Education Services. 's8220;Because the field is littered with qualified professionals, competition is fierce in the field of private
investigation.'s8221;
There are ample opportunities for individuals seeking entry-level jobs, and the industry's8217;s employment rate is expected to grow faster than the national average through the next
eight years, according to the U.S. Department of Labor's8217;s Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The course will be instructed by the staff of RGS Specialists, a professional education developer in private investigation. The company solely employs licensed private investigators.
