IADT Sacramento Students Provide Comfort for Children Displaced by...

While most of the nation watched the news of the destructive blaze cutting across Southern California, a 23-year old college student, Denisea Carey, mobilized a school and a community to help families victimized by the recent wildfires. On November 1, delegation of students and instructors was welcomed by the office of San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders and then delivered over 500 teddy bears and pillows to displaced children in San Diego.

The ambitious project began just one week earlier when Carey, a student at the International Academy of Design and Technology (www.iadtsacramento.com), founded in the 1970s with a single location, is a vibrant and growing college committed to providing a design education that delivers today's technology into the classroom, and tomorrow's creative professionals into the workforce. Today, IADT has 11 locations and continues to grow. IADT is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education and is also recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
