Math Solutions, celebrating 25 years of leadership in improving K--8 mathematics instruction and student learning, today announced that Christine Willig will join the company as President/Chief Executive Officer, effective September 8, 2008.

Ms. Willig brings more than 20 years of education-focused leadership, management, product development, sales, and marketing experience to Math Solutions. In making the announcement, Marilyn Burns, founder of Math Solutions and Chairman of the Board, said, "I am extremely pleased that Christine has joined Math Solutions. Her extensive background in education and technology provides the vision and expertise to lead Math Solutions to our next phase of growth in professional development and publishing. Most importantly for us, Christine is a natural fit in our company culture and understands the importance of improving the teaching and learning of mathematics in our schools."

In her previous position, Ms. Willig was President of Thinkronize, a leader in the digital delivery of K-12 educational content. Recognized on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States, Thinkronize is known for its award-winning netTrekker, the country's No. 1 K-12 educational search protocol, which Ms. Willig had a major hand in creating. Prior to Thinkronize, Ms. Willig spent 18 years at Thompson Learning/South-Western Publishing Division (now a part of Cengage) in a variety of executive roles.

Ms. Willig said, "My entire career has been focused on education because I believe it is a human right for all children to be educated, and educated well. Through education, a child has the freedom to create a life of economic prosperity and success. I also believe it is through the influence of great teachers and creative learning environments that education flourishes. Math Solutions is a great place to expand that spark between the teacher and the student to generate true learning."

Ms. Willig was graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame and was a member of the 1996 Executive Education Program at Columbia University.
