Metropolitan Community College Selects ZogoTech for Data Warehousing...

ZogoTech's8482;, a leading provider of integrated Student Engagement and Business Intelligence software for Higher Education, announced that Metropolitan Community College (MCC) has selected ZogoTech'ss Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solution (Estudias Enterprise's8482;).



MCC is one of the largest community colleges in the Midwest, serving more than 46,000 students a year at five campuses across four counties.

With a full data warehousing solution (from ETL to reporting), ZogoTech'ss solution will help MCC get clean and consistent data from PeopleSoft to its end users. The Research Intelligence module will help improve data quality, ensure consistency, and empower users to run their own reports.



According to Dr. Don Doucette, Vice Chancellor of Educational Services and Instructional Technology, In order to be as good an institution as we can be, especially in serving students, we need to have good data to help us know when we are succeeding with our students. ZogoTech will provide us with that.



One reason ZogoTech was chosen was the company'ss in-depth knowledge of colleges and universities. According to Dr. Doucette, We were impressed with ZogoTech'ss knowledge of higher education. The product looked like it was developed in an Institutional Research office.



Dr. Charles Van Middlesworth, District Director for Research, Evaluation and Assessment highlighted the increased emphasis on accountability: Accountability requires the ability to collect, analyze and report the results to program and institutional decision makers. ZogoTech will enable MCC to accomplish these objectives with a consistency that is not possible through other reporting software we have examined.



Mary Abraham, Institutional Researcher, mentioned usability as a big factor: We looked at several solutions, but none provided the ease of use that ZogoTech'ss solution had.



Success with the Research Intelligence module will help pave the way for adoption of the other two modules: Student Engagement and Executive Intelligence. The Student Engagement module allows student services groups to better serve students (through at-risk intervention), and record contact notes, while linking those services to learning outcomes such as graduation, transfer, etc. The upcoming Executive Intelligence module will allow Presidents and VPs to get high-level views of their institution through balanced scorecards and dashboards influenced from Malcolm Baldrige criteria.
