Minneapolis, MN January 16, 2009 -- Regency Beauty Institute today announced the acquisition of The Cosmetology Institute of Beauty Arts and Sciences (TCI), located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This acquisition introduces Regency to the Winston-Salem market and increases its presence in North Carolina. Regency currently has a campus in Charlotte and will open a campus in Durham in the second quarter of 2009.

Regency pursued the acquisition because TCI'ss comprehensive educational approach closely aligns with Regency'ss curriculum model, philosophy and high standards of excellence.
