Senior Summer School Announces New Years Eve Programs



Senior Summer School announces its New Years Eve Programs in Atlanta, Georgia and St. Petersburg, Florida. Both programs will run from December 28, 2006 to January 3, 2007. Programs include Senior Summer School courses, special lectures, entertainment, and sightseeing excursions.



Participants in the Atlanta New Year's8217;s Program will stay in spectacular downtown Atlanta's8217;s Omni Hotel at CNN Center. Courses will cover a wide range of topics including: Shakespeare Today, Modern Art, Book Editing/Publishing, Classical Music at the Movies, Injury Prevention for seniors, Folklore of Fear, Comparative Religion, Pleasure of Poetry, and the Atlanta Symphony. In addition to nightly entertainment, participants will be invited to attend sightseeing trips at top notch destinations such as the Jimmy Carter Library, CNN Center Studio Tour, Georgia Aquarium, Margaret Mitchell House and the High Museum. Highlighting the whole program is a special New Year's8217;s Eve event at the Atlanta Symphony.



St. Petersburg program participants will stay at the luxurious St. Petersburg Hilton. Students will be able to attend courses on Great Hebrew Stories, Focus on the Middle East: Sunni vs. Shite, Aging in the 21st Century, George Washington the parent, Italian Renaissance Art, French Impressionists, Danny Kaye the performer and the Life and Times of Irving Berlin. Sightseeing trips include the Dali Museum, Florida Holocaust Museum and St. Petersburg Pier Tarpon Springs. Program participants will spend a memorable special New Years Eve celebration at 's8220;A Salute of Vienna's8221; concert. This program offers amenities such as a swimming pool and spa as well as round trip transportation from South Florida.
