eLearningVoices.com has debuted with 32 voice over talents that specialize in narrating and acting in eLearning courses produced by instructional design firms and in-house eLearning development departments.
As the market for eLearning courses rapidly grows--with the world market for eLearning projected to exceed $52.6 billion by 2010--the demand for voice talents that are experts in
communicating concepts to e-learners is growing. This is what Rick Gordon, an e-learning voice over specialist, learned from his clients. Gordon collaborated with another talent well
known in eLearning circles, Harlan Hogan, and together they developed E-LearningVoices.com (http://www.e-learningvoices.com) to strictly
serve as a resource for the e-learning community.
Gordon and Hogan invited respected e-learning narrators and voice actors to join them in a cooperative effort. Membership will be capped at 50 voice talents. Each talent is charged a
membership fee for representation on the site. All membership fees pay for maintenance and promotion of the site. No fees accrue directly to members, Gordon, or Hogan. Each talent, male
and female on E-LearningVoices.com has a profile page, which contains a streaming and downloadable eLearning demo.
eLearning course developers can cast talent from the site two ways: By contacting talent directly, or by taking advantage of a casting call and eLearningVoices.com's unique "Price Per
Produced Minute" (http://www.e-learningvoices.com/price-per-minute.php) rate plan.
This "Price Per Produced Minute" rate plan is the result of numerous discussions Gordon had with eLearning design firms. Gordon learned they want the ability to cast multiple voices and
pay one price for the lot. In response, Gordon and Hogan designed a cost-efficient flat per produced minute rate schedule, graduated depending on project length, plus 15% fee, that is
paid from a single invoice. The 15% fee goes into the web site's maintenance and promotion fund.
