Amperion and IBEC Announce Agreement to Expand Broadband over PowerLine...



Amperion, Inc. (http://www.amperion.com) and International Broadband Electric Communications, Inc, (IBEC) (http://www.ibec.net) announced today that they have signed an agreement designed to further the expansion of Broadband over Power Line (BPL) technology and services.The goal of this initiative is to utilize the technology, expertise, intellectual property, and market presence of each company to expand the availability of BPL services, including both high-speed Internet access and SmartGrid applications that improve the reliability and integrity of the electric power distribution grid. The multi-year license and supply agreement covers BPL patents and other power line-related technologies that were developed by the companies.
