Intertek Partners With Photovoltaic InstituteBerlin to IncreaseSolar...

Intertek (LSE: ITRK), a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a range of industries worldwide, today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with a leading European player in the Renewable Energies market. According to the agreement, Photovoltaic Institute - Berlin (Germany) - will be able to test photovoltaic modules and related products in Germany on behalf of Intertek. Testing will be preliminary to the issuing of Intertek'ss ETL Mark for North American market access.

This partnership increases service and delivery capabilities in the largest solar energy market in Europe. It strategically bridges Intertek'ss global network of energy and solar labs from Asia Pacific to the U.S.

Photovoltaic Institute-Berlin'ss solar energy expertise and local laboratory facilities perfectly integrate within our global network and position us to offer our clients local testing for global markets, said Brian Kramak, Director, Energy Services, Intertek. We will continue to develop partnerships that will provide manufacturers with faster and more efficient testing and certification.

Intertek'ss Energy Services business covers a wide array of market segments spanning from traditional Power Generation Systems, to Wind and Solar Power products and Energy Storage products (where Intertek has recently acquired the business assets of Sagentia Catella AB, a globally renowned testing and consulting firm).
