Simplexity Appoints Michael Berkley Chief Information Officer

Simplexity (www.simplexity.com), the leading online seller of wireless phones and service plans, today announced that Michael Berkley has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Berkley is an accomplished IT executive who brings to his new role over twenty years of technology experience in both the public and private sector. As CIO, Berkley will be responsible for all aspects of information technology at Simplexity (www.simplexity.com) including software development, IT architecture/infrastructure, network engineering, outsourcing, strategic planning, and operations.

Berkley joins Simplexity (www.simplexity.com) from WorldSpace, Inc., a global information and media company based in Maryland where he served as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer since 2005.

Prior to this role, he held executive IT and consulting roles for a variety of companies including Erol'ss, RCN and Sprint. In addition to his IT experience, Michael previously served as Chief Executive Officer for GenuNet, Inc. Berkley received his BBA in Administrative Computer Systems from Hofstra University.
