Public TV Series Shows How to Avoid Accidental Death of Children



In an upcoming episode of the award winning television series, Real Moms, Real Stories, Real Savvy, moms discuss the topic of bath time safety with fellow moms and experts.

"Bath time safety is imperative when looking after children -- what should be a fun environment could easily turn into a dangerous one," says Lisa Taylor, one of the executive producers and mother of two. The episode airs on public television just weeks after a Brooklyn teenage mother was arrested and charged for reckless endangerment in the abandonment of her 11-month-old child. The mother had left her daughter, in a full bathtub while leaving the baby's 2-year-old aunt in charge. Stepping away for only moments to stir the rice for dinner, tragedy ensued. When returning after what was reportedly only 5 minutes, the 11 month old was lying face-up in the water and wasn't moving
