Emergency Associates of Colorado, LLC (EAC), has created a new management services organization for Wyoming emergency physicians and allied health practitioners, and the patients in that
state. The new company is Emergency Associates of Wyoming, LLC (EAW), which was established in March 2005.
To date, EAW has hired five emergency physicians and four physician assistants to work in the Cheyenne community. Currently, EAW seeks additional qualified emergency physicians to round
out the group. They may have the opportunity to become owners of the group in the future.
"We are excited to take our management services into Wyoming and to get a new physician group started," said Barbara Fry, president of operations for EAC and EAW. "In a former venture, we
took our management services into Arizona, creating Emergency Associates of Arizona (EAA). Eventually our Arizona physicians bought the group. We have continued to provide our services to
those physicians in a management capacity only. It has been a very positive relationship."
Parent company EAC was founded in September 1995 by two Denver emergency physician groups. Today the company serves nine physician groups, including over 250 healthcare providers.
