Verified Person Inc., a New York-based pre-employment screening firm, has hired Dennis O's8217;Connor to serve as vice president of development for the company. Dennis will oversee the
software development and data warehouse departments at Verified Person and will report to CEO Jim Davis. Dennis will relocate to Memphis, Tenn., and begin to build an IT and software
development group in the Memphis office, which Verified Person opened in June 2006 to primarily house sales and marketing. His plans are to hire at least 10 developers in the coming
weeks.
For the past 11 years, Dennis has worked for Hewlett-Packard Corp. in several positions including program manager, storage software business manager and chief technology officer for HP
OpenView.
Prior to his tenure at HP, Dennis served as president of Procase Corp. in San Jose, Calif. He assumed control of day-to-day operations of Procase at the request of investors.
Dennis has also held senior management positions at Varian Associates in Palo Alto, Calif.
