Duke Energy Selects ARCOS as its Platform for Crew Callout Resource Management Employee Availability

ARCOS Inc. is proud to announce that Duke Energy has selected ARCOS Crew Callout Enterprise Edition (http://www.arcos-inc.com) (ARCOS) to automate and optimize its crew callout process and add efficiencies to the resource and real-time employee availability management (http://www.arcos-inc.com/solutions/integrated_solutions/index.asp).

Working in partnership, the companies are currently in the process of implementing the highly configurable ARCOS solution as a dispatch, scheduling and resource management system for use by one of Duke's transmission units. The system is targeted to go live in September 2008 and will set the standard for gradual rollout of ARCOS to its distribution and gas operations.

"One of many benefits of ARCOS solution (http://www.arcos-inc.com/solutions/crew_callout/index.asp) is that it is agile and easily configurable. This is an important consideration for many of our customers, including Duke, since the system can be designed to meet the diversified needs of various business units," said Mitchell McLeod, President and CEO of ARCOS, Inc.
